Jimmy Allen
Funeral Director & Pre-Need Specialist
Jimmy Allen was born and raised in Putnam County. He is the son of Georgia West Allen and the late John Albert Allen. He is the third of four siblings.
He attended public schools and earned his B.S. degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1979.
Jimmy is married to the former Joyce Davis and they have two sons, Stephen and J. Ryan Allen and four grandchildren, Tucker, Skylar, Evan Clay and Jozie Allen.
Jimmy, his wife Joyce, and their two sons own and operate a beef cattle farm in Putnam County and they attend Summerfield United Methodist Church where Jimmy is song leader among other duties and Joyce teaches Sunday School. They are both very active in the community.
Jimmy is the Executive Director of the Agriculture Foundation for Tennessee Tech soliciting for funds to scholarship student at Tennessee Tech.
Mr. Allen is a licensed Funeral Director and Pre-need Specialist and has been affilated with Cookeville Funeral Home since its inception. He has compassion for families who have lost loved ones and desires to meet their needs at Cookeville Funeral Home. Jimmy is familiar with the struggles families go through when losing a loved one and his compassion for hurting families is one of his greatest strength.

Josh Harris
Non-Licensed Assistant
Joshua Harris was born and raised in Putnam County, Tenn. and is the son of Tommy (Owner of Cookeville Funeral Home)and Robbie Harris. He is married to the former Saundra Hancock and they have three children Kaylee, Landon and newborn Sophee. Josh lives on a farm in Lovejoy, Tennessee. He is a minister of the gospel and is the pastor of Verble Missionary Baptist Church in Calfkiller, Tenn.
Josh is currently doing his apprenticing under his father's supervision to become a licensed funeral director.
