Funeral Services for James ( Dick) Willis Clinton, age 73, will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 12:00 pm from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with interment in Burris Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 20, 2012, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 9:00 am until time of the services.
Mr. Clinton passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 13, 1938, to the late Elvis Willis and Bertha Garrison Clinton formerly of Jackson County, TN.
Mr. Clinton loved to hunt and join in on a good mule pulling. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Livingston.
He is survived by a daughter; Denise Scott of Jackson County, TN, Four grandchildren; Tosha Wilmoth and Tana Scott both of Jackson County, TN, Tamara Dabbs of White County, TN, and Nathan Clinton of Putnam County,TN, sisters; Mary Allen, Johnnie Spell, Wilma Scott, Mildred Smith and Lisa Mayberry all of Jackson County, TN, brothers; Rod and Harvey Clinton both of Jackson County, TN, four grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: David Lewis Clinton and a son: James (Mass) Clinton.
Pall Bearers will be Kenny Smith, Danny Mayberry, Luke Wilmoth, Jason Dabbs, Ridge Guist, and Bobby Phillips.
Bro. Billy Haney will officiate at the services.
