Funeral Services for Mary Katherine Pharris, age 96, will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, @ 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with interment in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2010, at the funeral home, from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of services. Mrs. Pharris passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Masters Health Care Center. She was born January 1, 1914, in Jackson County, to the late James McDonald & Rosa Jane Phillips Williford. Mrs. Pharris was a homemaker and was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law: Sherrill & Betty Pharris, Ray & Ruby Pharris all of Cookeville. A sister: Edna Parks of Ohio. Six grandchildren David Pharris of Cookeville, Kathy Jones & husband Jimmy of Baxter, Judy Williams of Cookeville, Loretta Joyce and husband Doug of Algood, Tony Pharris and wife Tammy of Cookeville, & Lee Anne Dennis of Gainesboro. Ten great-grandchildren & nine Great Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Fred B. Pharris. Six brothers: Elvis, Alvis, Odell, Bob, Charlie & Larry Williford & a sister Maude Williford. Pall Bearers will be James & Jimmy Jones, Doug Joyce, Tony Pharris, Ronnie & Michael Williford. Bro. Gayle Snoddy will officiate at the services.
