Funeral Services for Delcie Sparks, age 66, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, @ 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with interment in Sand Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2010, 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of services. Mrs. Sparks passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1943, in Overton County, TN to the late Sherman & Celia Wilson McCowan. Mrs. Sparks and her husband owned and operated Sparks Upholstery. She was a member of the Mill Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Jim Sparks, a son Ronnie Sparks, granddaughter Michelle Sparks all of Cookeville, two sisters Lola Key & husband Carl of Monterey and Anna McCloud & husband Loyce of Cookeville, a brother Braden McCowan & wife Betty of Cookeville & many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Debbie Greenwood, two brothers: Earl & Clyde McCowan, a sister: Helen McCowan & two nephews: Lonnie McCloud & Tommy McCowan. Pall Bearers will be family & friends. Bros. Nolen Cantrell & Lannie Vickers will officiate at the services.
